Mark Youngs

Financial Advisor

Mark began his career in the financial services industry in 1981, where he was fortunate to be mentored by someone who believed every client relationship should begin with a written financial plan. More than 44 years later, through periods of economic growth and multiple market recessions, that philosophy continues to shape the way he serves clients today.

Over the years, Mark has completed extensive, multi-year training in financial planning, including tax planning, investment strategy development, and ongoing personal financial planning. Having experienced numerous market cycles firsthand, he has seen the value of building customized investment allocations that are aligned with each client’s financial plan and long-term goals. He believes it’s important to understand not just what you’re investing in, but what you’re investing for.

Service has always been a defining part of Mark’s life, both professionally and personally.
He has been married to his wife, Pam, for 44 years, and together they have one son, who serves as a lieutenant with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department and is also a physician assistant.
Since 9/11, Mark has worked closely with the first responder community, providing financial guidance through the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation in line-of-duty death situations. He is also a member of the Maryland LAST Team (Local Assistance State Team), a statewide response team that supports families following a line-of-duty death in Maryland.

Perhaps his favorite title, however, is “Bumpa” to four of the people who mean the most to him: Blake, Luke, Camryn, and Hazel. When he’s not working with clients, Mark enjoys pursuing his hobbies as a lapidarist and woodturner, exploring the outdoors through hiking and biking, and relaxing with the occasional pint of beer. For Mark, financial planning has always been about more than investments and strategies. It’s about helping people navigate life’s most important moments with thoughtful guidance, steady support, and a financial plan built around what matters most.
